Body Loving Blogosphere 05.13.12

Yikes! Today’s body loving blogosphere is laaaate, BUT I have been working on on my application to Marie Forleo’s Rich, Hot and Happy B-School scholarship. So, I’m sure that you’ll forgive me. Bonus: Now you get to check out my wicked geeky entry video below this week’s lovely link round-up.

I just love this post from Julie Parker with Tips for Building Confidence.

Mara, thanks so much for linking to my post on grief! It’s a post I needed to write and it means a lot that it resonated with you.

I LOVE your video. I hope you get the scholarship! :) You absolutely deserve it.

I am mom enough. Love that! Also love being reminded to ask for what I want. You just convinced me to ask someone to do a guest post when I had nearly talked myself out of it. Fear and shame can’t motivate anything! They tried to tell us fear and shame would motivate women to buy clothes (give them an ideal they will never attain) and Ben Barry has proved them wrong with his PhD research which shows women want to buy more when the model resembles themselves.
The writer who abandoned her PhD course is not alone – the vast majority of students who embark on their PhD don’t complete it.

Mara helped me realize that sometimes we just don’t fit in within our environments, and it’s not any fault of our own - we just need to seek and find our own audiences.
