The Importance of Crying in Public:
Many of us feel shame about tears. Some only shed them in the dark of movie theaters, at funerals, when curled up alone in bed, or maybe only in the confines of a coach’s office. Others quickly wipe away a single tear and issue an apology that goes something like “I’m sorry, I don’t know why I’m crying” or “Ugh, I’m sorry, this isn’t worth crying over.”

How to Listen – this week’s required reading.
I’m instituting a new Sunday segment entitled Make Your Life (a Little or a LOT) Better This Week – let me know what you think:
TODAY, May 20th, is both a new moon AND an eclipse. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit of time today thinking, praying, hoping, and wishing for all of the things that you want to manifest into your life. You can do this informally by just gazing at something beautiful and whispering your secret dreams to yourself. Or, you can join me, and create an Alchemy Box.
Alchemy Boxes can be beautifully decorated or splendidly simple – the important thing is that they are a vessel for your dreams to reside in. I love to write things down, crafting love letters to my dream life and getting very specific about how I’d like that to look, but you can also fill the box up with things that remind you of that which you are trying to draw into your life – tokens, images, magical talismans. Put the box near your bed or somewhere that you can see it, and use it as a visual reminder to take a second and wander over your dreams in your mind, what would the bed look like in your new house? How would it feel to lie in it? How would a conversation with your ideal partner sound? What would the feeling in your heart be when you were typing the final words to your best-selling manifesto?
Allow yourself to go there.
