Permission to Be Exactly Who You Are

July 10, 2012

This post was inspired by the release of Anna Guest-Jelley’s recent book launch for Permission to CURVE: Inspiring Poses For Curvy Yogis and Their Teachers. I had the honor of checking out an advance copy of this book, and I have to say – it was freaking incredible. I highly recommend checking it out. After reading this post, of course.

Today, I give myself permission to step light-heartedly into the life of my own imagining.

I give myself permission to lovingly accept and relinquish my claim on all those moments of hurt that tether my heart to that which no longer serves me.

I give myself permission to stand, head up, shoulders back in front of you.

I give myself permission to speak my truths, and to allow them to be heard, audibly, by others.

I give myself permission to engage in creating things that feel good to make.

I give myself permission to invest in my own success by enlisting the help and encouraging words of others.

I give myself permission to rest when I require resting, and engage when I yearn for engagement.

I give myself permission to eat whatever I want to eat, paying close attention to how those choices impact my energy and my bodily well being.

I give myself permission to leave email in my inbox until I am ready to respond.

I give myself permission to take on more than I think that I can handle – out of excitement, joy, and readiness.

I give myself permission to create a schedule around what feels right for me.

I give myself permission to change my mind.

I give myself permission to say goodbye to the people who make me feel anything less than amazing about myself.

I give myself permission to allow my imagination to stretch and wander, seeking new and thrilling ways to entertain myself.

I give myself permission to be exactly who and what I am.

What do you give yourself permission for today?
