Conquering Fears II: Doing Something New Every Day

January 20, 2010

Ok. So I’ve been thinking about my last post and focusing my attention on concrete ways to tackle fear head on and pull myself out of a rut. The answer: do something NEW and EXCITING every day. Thus, I will be propelled out of my anxiety into action and adventure and, ultimately, joy. So I introduce the never-have-I-ever series, to commence immediately and end whenever I feel better or I’ve done all that there is to do in this gigantic world that I have yet to do.

What do you think?

Never-have-I-ever: January 19 + 20th, NYC

  • Gone to a major motion picture in 3D IMAX. What the heck took me so long?!? Avatar: beautiful/minorly depressing. Experience: AMAZING. Minus the special IMAX goggle lines all over my face that lasted all night.
  • Eaten at a restaurant specializing in both burgers and cupcakes. I repeat: what took me so long?
  • NYC j walking: Meh. Not quite as thrilling as anticipated…
  • Theresa’s in Brooklyn Heights. Supreme company and PERFECT spinach egg white omelette.

What exciting things have you been up to??
